What a busy start to 2022 we’ve had! We can’t catch our breath for machine guard orders coming in!
We’re pleased to share some photos with you all of a recent guarding project that Solon Systems took on in Great Yarmouth, UK.
It’s worth mentioning that this particular client was feeling anxious about finding the right machinery guarding supplier who could meet their criteria & follow the project through in line with all the correct safety legislation.
Solon’s project with them started with a machinery guarding inspection by our expert NEBOSH certified engineer to assess the machines on site to see whether they conformed to PUWER 1998.
A quotation for the remedial works involved in order for the customer’s machines to comply with PUWER 98 followed this & subsequently an order was placed > Design approvals >manufacture > Powder coating > & then recently a full mechanical & electrical installation by Solon Systems engineers.
In the photos you’ll see:
Union Borer Machine – Solon provided a full guarding package with safety fencing, emergency foot stop & roller blinds.
Radial Drill – Solon provided the PTR 20/300 Interlocked radial drill guard & an Emergency foot stop.
Lathes x 4 – Solon provided either foot operated kick stops or safety trip wires to each of these lathes.
